The 100th Anniversary Royal Australian Air Force RAAF is the basis for this year’s Parramatta Eels ANZAC Jersey. This force was formed on 31 March 1921. This jersey was created by Kathy Turner, CSM, the leader of Squadron 5. A permanent Air Force veteran engineering officer, she is also an active reserveist who has more than 30 military service years. This includes operations in Kuwait. Squadron leader Turner CSM is a freelance graphic designer, while still serving in the defense force. He also owns Graphite Design Coal Coast. The jersey is a memorial to 100 years’ worth of RAAF service as well as the personnel who have served it. “350,000 Australians” served in RAAF between 1914 and 1918, while “11.191 sacrificed their lives to support the cause.” Their sacrifices and their service will be remembered forever.
